Cognism, the globally compliant international sales intelligence provider, today announced the appointment of ex-ZoomInfo VP of corporate development, Phil Garlick, to its board of directors.
Phil brings over 35 years of experience in the software and data industry and, working with the management team, will be focused on the strategies and tactics to perpetuate the rapid scaling of Cognism, which is on target to grow by 100% in FY2021, having ended FY2020 at $11M ARR.
Phil’s industry experience includes his role as VP of corporate development at ZoomInfo, where he was instrumental in the company’s sale to private equity investors in 2017 and then to DiscoverOrg in 2019.
As far back as the early 1990s, his career has been based around SaaS software products that have embedded data for use by end users. This means he's perfectly placed to work alongside the management team at Cognism, whose prospecting solution embeds intent and other value-added data.
Most notably, Phil was a co-founder of the Lotus Development Corporation division OneSource - one of the first companies to publish structured data on the web when the internet began.
With a wide-ranging career on both sides of the Atlantic in sales & marketing, corporate development, strategy, partnerships, and M&As, Phil is a seamless fit to provide advice and guidance in the next stage of Cognism’s prolific and sustained growth.
